Reckless Abandon !

Do we have guarantees in Life ?
  • We certainly have people who want guarantees from us.
  • We have certain obligations placed on us if we want something from someone.
  • We are asked to guarantee to an employer that we will do a good job, or else, we are terminated.
  • However misguided, we, as parents, place obligations on our children, and expect them to guarantee they will not disappoint  us.
  • We even place obligation on our friends sometimes, not knowing we are doing so and they certainly do not know they have agreed to anything as such. We are very demanding when we have no right to be, expecting for others to live and act by our guidelines.
  • We are obligated by organizations we belong to. They want fees and contributions for our participation and or for the common good. They ask for our pledge/guarantee, we ill do what we say.
  • We are asked to guarantee something really important. It is to insure we are as committed as the other party involved in the agreement. Sometimes we are sued in a court of law for failing a guarantee we really couldn't guarantee. God will tell us if we should enter an agreement and what the terms should be.
  • Want to know something that will knock your socks off ??? God is in the NO GUARANTEES business, it's a fact explained below and we are largely ungrateful for it, most of the time !
People try to obligate us all day long everyday. Sometimes the guarantees we have let ourselves fall into, begin to gather around our neck like a choke hold.

Here's the great part of our Life's Story  right now, today, one should know ! God, never asked and never implied and never expected!, any guarantees about, or from us! We aren't capable of completely guaranteeing anything!, without God allowing it and being involved!

God gave it all and had NO GUARANTEE !

He  sent his son, Jesus Christ to the Cross, to die for us on the choice (THE CHANCE WE WOULD FOLLOW) to follow Him ! No guarantees!

But............................

If it were for just, "one", of us!

He says in his word, that would have been enough! to make it worthwhile for Jesus to die on the cross !

Thus sayeth The Lord and "It Was" and is and forever shall be!

That should be enough for us too!
