Isaiah 31:5
Isaiah 31 (New International Version)
Isaiah 31:5
5)
Like birds hovering overhead,
the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem;
he will shield it and deliver it,
he will 'pass over' it and will rescue it."
Great Days, we share in the Lord. What must Isaiah have felt as his thoughts drifted through the pauses of breath while he recorded these words?
How must it have been to know that all of history and the fate of men was being spoken for, for all of time to come forever and forever? God never speaks without fulfilling his command.
This day would mean life would never be the same, not for Isaiah, nor whomever God chose to allow to go on, or to perish.
God is still speaking today. He not only encourages us through His word, but also warns us through His word concerning His way. Our development and maturity determines our discernment.
The only way we will know is to keep our eyes upon Him.
This day let us pray as many men on a bended knee, in our own places but gathered in spirit, as one. "All for One".
Father, today, keep our eyes upon you. Focus our thoughts and our unspoken fears upon your ways of being strong. Father stand me up strong against the windblown sand. Shield me against the attacker, who would harm me. Let me stand as a strong tower amongst those who need to see me stand. Fill us up, with anticipation of your filling of our spirit. Let us impact the world around us in your way.
Let us light the darkest places of this world. Fill us up to walk behind you, waiting for you to direct our steps. Keep us from harm and keep us sharp, with a keen eye, and hearing as sharp as The Sword of The Lord and a bold spirit so we may protect our brethren from harm. May we stay close to you wherever we are and wherever our boots may take us, so we may know, we are with you.

- What must it have been like, to know Our God had spoken so strongly concerning the action which would be taken?
