A Plowable, Joyful, Spirit
May we begin our day today, in the same spirit as that of the plowing farmer of days gone by
May we value the strength necessary to plow the fields, day after day, as you continue to fill them with crops and have a thankful heart for what we have been given.
Father build us, to be joyful to dance under your heavens in celebration when the crops come in. Build us strong to endure the drought which tests our spirit, may we know our prosperity and resilience alike, comes from you only.
Let us be of the same character as the Farmer, who arose early and thanked you for the rain that softened the soil, making it easier to plow and more yielding. May we thank you, in the same way for the simple things, which you have given us so freely, which make our days possible.
Father may we be meek but may we be strong, in your ways.
May our hearts not be troubled, but dwell upon you, for peace. May we soar like the Eagle, in your name, flying high above the fields, in the attitude we use to go about our days, joyful and confident in your name.
May we be of their character, loving the work you have given to our hands, to work the fields and yield the crop which sustains our families and many more.
May we be of the same character which plowed a straight row, by nature, after doing it so many times, may our lives be built of the the same manner.
May we love our work you have given is the same as the farmer who stood gazing at his fields with a tear in his eye and a firm reminder of the strength it took to achieve something so good by your providing. May our lives be enriched by the very quality it represents when we recognize the same.
May we learn to appreciate our helpers you have given us, much the same as the powerful plow horse the farmer yearned
to acquire, to insure his days would be fruitful. May they also be of strong character and loyalty to always rise to the day with the same mind about your work, thankfully sharing the load.
Might our hearts be filled with love when we think of the days you have given us to go about the tasks you have given us. May we be light hearted and full of joy to share your day with you.
May we not be proud but humbled when we think of the talents you have allowed us to have, never boastful but honoring your way.
Keep us from sickness, harm, famine, strife and Father, most of all, keep us within your sight, so our land will continue to put up a crop that brings glory to your name. Protect our fields even when fires consume those of the wicked because we have asked with honest intent. May we never lay malice for another man's life.
Father, last of all, Our sons may go away to a foreign land to do your service. We have watched our sons grow so tall and become men. May we understand they are merely plowing the field with those same rows which are so straight, and taking a bended knee to sample your soil. May we know, in your way, the sun will always be at their back and the sweet rains, of knowing you will wash the sand from their face.
Father may we understand you can Love them much more than us, may they be a testament to your name.
May they stand tall and firm in the face of battle and give glory to your name as you guide them each and every day.
Protect them from the bad things, most of all, may they hold tight to you !
Psalm 1:3 (New International Version)
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
